My Mum has been trailing several products from Fujifilm’s Astalift range which I mentioned in a post earlier this week. She very kindly agreed to review each of the products for me and write down her thoughts and opinions so I could share them with you. The products she has are
- Astalift Moisture Foam
- Astalift Jelly Aquarysta
- Astalift Whitening Essence
- Astalift Cream
- Astalidt Eye Cream
Mum’s skin is very dry and she has some redness and open pores, so she chose the products which are specifically meant to cater for these. So without further ado I will hand you over to… My Mum!
HI, I’m Sharon, Jessie’s Mum and she asked me to help with a blogpost for her, as I am lucky enough to be married to a lovely man who works for Fuji in the UK [pictured above as well]. You may well ask what has that got to do with a beauty product, but Fuji have brought out a whole new range of skincare products which has taken Asia by storm and is one of the most anticipated ranges on the market currently.
I was so lucky to be able to test these products before they are actually officially out over here, so here are a few of my thoughts on them:
Astalift Moisture Foam
This is a product which cleans your face thoroughly and it is quite surprisingly creamy and unlike any other face foams, washes etc. on the market at the moment. It comes out of the tube a golden orange colour and you only need a tiny amount which, when you rub onto wet skin, smooths immediately into a cream to cover your whole face and feels as though it is really moisturising down into the skin. However, after you have rinsed it off and let your face dry, you can actually feel the skin tightening on your face. I wasn’t massively keen on this one, as I am not a big fan of products that make my face to feel too tight.
Astalift Jelly Aquarysta
This is what is known as the “hero” product and has caused quite a stir. It is a bright red jelly and you only use a tiny pearl of it and smooth it over your face after cleansing. The colour, which is really vibrant, disappears after a short while and your face again feels really tight and plumped. The level of moisturisation is impressive and any open pores and redness appear to significantly reduce with constant use. This product claims to make skin look and feel younger and I can honestly say I can see an improvement in mine. This was certainly my favourite of all the products.
Astalift Whitening Essence
I thought this was going to be like a serum, but it is much more liquid than most serums I have used. Again, it is the familiar bright red colour and smooths over your face beautifully. I think the main attribute of this product is that it enables the moisturisers (both face and eye cream) to be absorbed into the skin much better. Again, this is helpful with reducing open pores and redness. This did help with my redness, but I have tried products in the past that I feel have maybe helped a bit more, I do like this though.
This is a pretty standard moisturiser, it is not a miracle product, but it does do what it says on the tin and does moisturise. I have to say it feels wonderful if you have worked your way through the entire product range. My skin feels much plumper, beautifully moisturised and just different – almost as though someone has been able to stretch your skin tighter across your face. Beautiful peachy gold colour with a really nice smell. This was another of my favourites.
This is the special cream for the delicate eye areas and, just as with the face cream, leaves you feeling as though the skin around the eyes is much tighter and very well moisturised.
All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised and, having worked my way through the products as I have written this blog, my skin feels good to go and ready for make-up and significantly cleaner, well moisturised and plumped up! Go Fuji!
Thanks for doing this for me Mum, I really appreicate it! x
