NOTD: Ciaté Purple Sherbet

Free with this month’s Marie Claire was a choice of three Ciaté nail polishes, Jelly Bean – a hot pink with subtle purple shimmer in it, Bonbon – a taupe colour, and Purple Sherbet – a lilac/pale purple colour. This is a great deal as the magazine costs £3.70 and Ciaté polishes retail for £9 each. Plus you can get 25% off Ciaté polishes on their website throughout June and July… Bargain!

3 Different Free Ciate Nail Polishes with this month's Marie Claire

I chose Purple Sherbet, as I am enjoying candy/pastel colours at the moment and this one caught my eye. I also have quite a few hot pinks and a couple of taupes so this aren’t high on my wish list currently

I have tried several Ciaté nail polishes in the past and have always thought they were great. This one has been no exception. With two very thin coats this is opaque enough to look good on my nails.

You can just about see the nail line through, but it certainly nothing to worry about. I love this as I have really thin nails and polish just peels off them if applied too thickly. Being able to apply two very thin coats ups the staying power for me, yay!

Overall I am pleased with this colour. It is a touch bright for my everyday wear, but I am planning on wearing it with OPI’s Pirouette My Whistle from the New York Ballet collection. I think the different sized silver glitter chunks will look awesome over this.

Having looked at the three colours which one would you choose?
